Zimbabwe and Zambia's Seasonal Highlights

From May to October wildlife viewing is optimal as animals gather around water sources and vegetation is sparse, making them easier to spot. The weather is generally pleasant for outdoor activities

Although Victoria Falls tends to be lower on water levels during this time, it allows for the mist to settle and a clearer view of the falls, as well as allowing for seasonal activities such as swimming in Angel's Pool and Devil's Pool

From November to April these areas provide stunning scenery and fewer crowds. The rains support dramatic wildlife migrations and offer spectacular birdwatching opportunities. It’s also a great time for exploring lush landscapes and experiencing the region’s natural beauty in full bloom

This is the best time to witness the full majesty of Victoria Falls as the high water levels make for a powerful waterfall

Getting There and Getting Around

There are many ways to access Zimbabwe and Zambia but we recommend flights via Johannesburg or Nairobi to Livingstone or Victoria Falls International Airport.

From there, it is either a road journey or a helicopter transfer to see Victoria Falls
