Rwanda's Seasonal Highlights

The long dry season runs from June to September, featuring warm, sunny days and cooler nights, making it ideal for wildlife viewing and gorilla trekking as animals are easily spotted and trails are less muddy

The short dry season occurs from December to February, with similarly pleasant weather and good conditions for exploring Rwanda’s national parks and scenic landscapes

The long rains last from March to May, brings lush greenery and vibrant landscapes but also heavy downpours making for a more challenging trek to see mountain gorillas, however during this season you can take advantage of more intimate trekking experiences due to fewer trekkers, lush green scenery, and beautiful photographic opportunities
